Gavin Kennedy is a lifelong story-teller who has focused his curiosity, practical, academic and artistic background on writing, photography and video for commercial, non-commercial clients, and creative enterprise projects.
Kennedy, who grew up on Canada’s west coast splitting time between mountain adventures and urban life in Vancouver, has a degree in Political Science (University of British Columbia); certificate in documentary filmmaking (Langara College), and studied internation relations at the University of Ljubjana, Slovenia and Spanish at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, Spain. He has lived and traveled throughout the Americas and Europe, including a 10,500 kilometer trek by bicycle from Vancouver, Canada, to Quito, Ecuacor. He is also a certified mechanic with the Canadian Armed Forces (reserves) and Occupational First Aid Level III attendant.
Kennedy has presented on FEAT Canada (a forum for adventure stories similar to TED talks; worked in several roles on the award-winning Telus StoryHive documentary Happenstance, and participated in numerous film and arts festivals in various roles, from festival photographer, to MC Presenter and Pre-Screening Committee (Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival).
